My friends who root for Michigan keep reminding me that, even though they lost in a blowout to Ohio State, they are going to the Rose Bowl.
Let me state, again, for the record... "Have fun - win or lose - with whatever you're doing in Pasadena. But for yet another year - in fact, 3 out of the last 4 years - your team can't and didn't win the game that mattered. You didn't beat your biggest, most-"hated" rival."
Ohio State won 37-21, and that's really all that matters. Especially in college football, where the bowls are more about "money" than about rankings. The Buckeyes, settled it convincingly on the field, and they'll do it again next year =). Go Bucks!

I don't know if you remember...but I am a huge Michigan fan. Now, that was not the Ohio State that played the rest of the year, but they did beat Michigan. I can give credit where it is due (even though it hurts). Ohio State fans were saying the same things Michigan fans are saying now when Cooper was coach...so the door swings both ways I guess.
I still can bring up history and state that Ohio State needs to win 19 games straight tie the series. Lloyd Carr is having difficulty winning the "big" games. They lost to Notre Dame and Ohio State this year.
Only Ohio State fans would be happy with a 7 - 4 record. Michigan clinched a share of their 42nd Big Ten Title compared to Ohio States 29...that is something.
As one of us says every year....there is always next year!!!
