Yesterday, my Dad & Mom were here in Delaware, helping us get our home ready for our new baby.
Jennie's due-date is still December 25th, but the doctor is saying he would be willing to induce her around December 15th.
We have heard some painful stories about those who have induced a pregnancy. Our doctor's thought on that was that it's much tougher when it's your first delivery. This would be Jennie's second, and he felt pretty good about it. He's pretty laid back, and everyone in Delaware speaks well of him. Dr. Hammett has a great reputation and of course lots of pictures of himself with the babies he's delievered.
Uh, anyhow, back to my Dad. He was a workhorse around here yesterday. Painting, installing things, rebuilding our baby's room, closet, blinds, and everything. My parents have to be exhausted after the last two days with us. Allie has been sick, so she's helped everyone wake up several times per night.

Janet was induced for all three of our kids--all of them were late (past their due date) and all of them were pretty big. For Austin it was an all day and night affair, for Lindsey it happened pretty quickly (born mid-afternoon) and Reece ended up being taken C-section because (as we later found out) he had the cord tied in a knot around his wrist. That never would have worked well coming down the chute!
